DISCOVERING YOUR UNIQUE CALLING

Caitlin, Eric, and Gonzo join Charlie and Tommy to discuss how they have found their unique, God-given callings in the different seasons of their lives. In this segment, the guests share how they came to use the gifts, talents, and abilities that God has entrusted to them and they encourage us with advice for how we can do the same.

It’s hard to believe that Caitlin is only in her 20s, but it’s not hard to believe that God can accomplish so much through a faithful and diligent young woman. Her gratitude and contentment are obvious.  Her wisdom and perspective are refreshing.  Her work and her marriage are thriving.

Caitlin knows that her upbringing set her on a course to find her unique calling early in life.  Most parents don’t homeschool their kids, and even those who do don’t always equip their kids with career discernment as part of the curriculum.

Caitlin is marked by a confidence in her gifts, an appreciation of her family, and a truly successful wedding photography business.

She is an artist who takes beautiful pictures.

She is a wife who joyfully runs a business alongside her husband.

She is a counselor and confidant to brides in one of their most difficult and exhilarating life experiences.

But don’t be misled, Caitlin will be the first to tell you that things aren’t perfect.  As a photographer, she knows that things aren’t always how they appear on the surface.  Beneath the beautiful photos there are challenges, hardships, and obstacles.

I love how Caitlin describes her current season of life: “It’s not perfect, but it’s right.”
She knows that jobs, marriage, and life can be hard.  She knows that hardships are often the means by which we grow.  She knows that the beauty of the photo is in the substance of the story, not the edits and presentation.

Caitlin captures life’s beauty and shares it with the rest of us.  We see it in her photos, in her marriage, and in her life.
